Pinheiro & Pinheiro, Lda is a family-owned company located in the beautiful city of Viana do Castelo, Portugal. Founded in the 1950s by Elísio Pinheiro, the company began with the trade of Spanish-style berets. Over the years, they expanded their product range to include embroidery threads, bed linens, and eventually, the famous Minho Regional Handkerchiefs.

In 1973, the company was rebranded to Pinheiro & Pinheiro, Lda after the passing of Elísio Pinheiro, with Eugénio Pinheiro and his nephew José Pinheiro taking the helm. They continued to grow the business by adding bed sets, tablecloths, and regional handkerchiefs to their offerings. After Eugénio Pinheiro’s passing in 1992, José Pinheiro and his children modernized the company while maintaining its dedication to superior quality and strong client relationships.

In 2017, to further expand their market, Pinheiro & Pinheiro, Lda split, creating José Pinheiro & Filhos, Lda, resulting in two independent businesses covering different commercial areas.
